Stacy Robbins-Alvarez was born and raised in Palos Verdes and now lives in Lomita with her husband and 2 daughters. She has been in the optical field for 28 years. Both her father and godfather were optometrists, so it runs in the family. She started her career working with her father, Dr. Robert Robbins, at his office in downtown Torrance. She worked alongside him for the first 17 years of her career. When her father retired in 2003, she continued to work in the office with the new doctor for 10 more years. Upon deciding it was time for a change, she met Dr. Hokama through a mutual friend and knew working with her was where she wanted to be. She spends her free time helping at school, leading 2 Girl Scout troops, gardening and being the team mom for her daughter’s soccer team.
"I love my profession and my patients! They are like family to me. Having know many of them for 28 years, I have seen them grow up, get married and have children of their own and now their children are patients. I was very lucky to work with my father for so many years. He was an amazing teacher and I learned everything I needed to know about optometry. I am so happy to join Dr. Hokama’s team and look forward to using my experience to help patients stay happy, healthy and seeing well!"
